San Juan Capistrano, CA - August 17, 2011 - Not just a California competition, the USEF National Junior Hunter Championships, West Coast, also drew riders from the east coast, Texas, Colorado and Arizona. The event included breakfast both days, a reception sponsored by Karen Healey Stables and Brookway Stables and a beautiful course on the grass. Leo Conroy, George Schneider and Frank Willard judged the forty entrants split among four divisions.

With an overall of score 255.80 we congratulate sixteen-year-old Morgan Geller and Fabricio as the Overall Grand Champions, winners of the perpetual trophy donated by Show Circuit Magazine.

"Fabricio is just so amazing," commented a proud Geller. "He is the only horse I show and I've been able to develop a really good bond with him." Also her partner in the equitation arena, the pair won the CPHA Medal Finals last year and will compete back east this fall in both the hunter division and the medal finals. Geller trains with Peter Lombardo.

Reserve to Geller was Chase Boggio, in from Atlanta, GA, to ride Cruise for owner Jessica Singer and trainer Archie Cox. Earning a 254.20 overall, Cruise and Boggio were Champions in the Small 16-17 division.
