Madison Myro Captains Winning iJump Challenge Team; The $5,000 iJump Team Challenge Series, Presented by Bruno Delgrange, Begins at Blenheim

San Juan Capistrano, CA - This afternoon marked the beginning of an innovative and exciting collaboration between Blenheim EquiSports and West Palms Event Management. Four teams of three competed in the first of six qualifying events for the $5,000 iJump Team Challenge, presented by Bruno Delgrange. The winning team hails from none other than Henderson, outside of Las Vegas, where the iJump Team Challenge Final will take place this November at the Las Vegas National.

Team Nielson, consisting of Madison Myro, Jacob Dailey and Kimara Soffe, finished with a final score of 8 faults and the fastest time in the speed round. Team Revolution Farms, with Joie Gatlin, Chandler Meadows and Kashea Kloss, came in a close second, also with 8 faults, but a slower score in the speed round.

In Round 1, all riders participating in the 1.10m height jumped clear. Chandler Meadows of Team Revolution Farms had the only clear round in the 1.20m group, each of the other riders scoring 4 faults. Katie Hanssen, Captain of Team Spinetti, had the only clear round in the 1.30m. So going into the speed round, Team Spinetti and Team Revolution Farms were tied with 4 faults each.

However, the second round, which featured only the 1.30m riders and was judged on speed, changed the positions a bit. Katie Hanssen of Team Spinetti had 16 faults in 56.58, dropping them down to fourth. Joie Gatlin of Team Revolution Farms had 4 faults in 65.28, ultimately second. When Madison Myro went clean in 63.06, she clinched the win for Team Nielson.

When asked about riding on a team, Myro admitted, "It's a lot more pressure. You feel like one mistake and you mess up the whole team, not just yourself. But it's still a lot of fun."

The team rides with Judy Nielson of Aspen Hill Farm and definitely plans to compete at the Final, should they be one of the top eight scoring teams after the six qualifying events. See full results and list of locations and dates below.

Stay tuned for the scoop on Sunday after Blenheim EquiSports concludes the June Classic III with the Zone 10 Pony Challenge and the $30,000 Markel Insurance 1.40m Grand Prix.
