San Juan Capistrano, CA – At the conclusion of this year’s International Jumping Festival, the Blenheim EquiSports Circuit Awards were presented to riders who had accumulated the most points in their respective Classics over the course of the 2018 Blenheim EquiSports outdoor show season.

In total, fifteen circuit awards and championship prizes were presented, and with several of the awards the competition was truly down to the wire! Blenheim EquiSports congratulates all the champions, as well as all the horses and riders who made excellent efforts in the show ring. Blenheim EquiSports would also like to thank the generous sponsors of each classic who not only supplied thoughtful prizes to each circuit champion but also to each weekly classic winner.

SENSATIONAL SHOW JUMPERS
With a grand total of 34 points, including a much-needed victory during Blenheim’s International Jumping Festival, Yvette Delong clinched the American Horse Products Adult Jumper Classic Circuit Award and $250 Gift Certificate riding Blue Calvados.

Circuit Awards were presented to both the highest placing Junior and Amateur riders in the EquiFit 1.35m Jr/AO Jumper Classics throughout the 2018 show season. Both winners were awarded a pair of EquiFit Custom D-Teq horse boots. Amateur rider Denise Pedraza was the winner of the Amateur section with her mount Papillon, earning a total of 45 points after winning three classics during the June summer series.

Junior rider Kate Abajian earned the EquiFit Circuit Award with her partner Curtis 57. The pair had top placings in many different classics throughout the season for a total of 24 points and the victory.

Taylor Gilmore and her partner C Cool earned a total of 34 points in the Pessoa Children’s Jumper Classics to take the overall win. The pair won two classics to gallop away with the victory. For her efforts, Gilmore was generously awarded a Pessoa saddle, bridle, saddle pad, scrim sheet, and ear bonnet.

Both the leading amateur and child rider received a pair of VeredusOlympus boots for their wins in the Veredus Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic. The Children’s section winner was Isabella Beltran and Maimara, who earned a total of 32 points this season. In the Amateur section, Kelsie Chisholm and Billy Hakuna were victorious with a total of 18 points.

At the Showpark Summer Classic in August, the EquiJet 1.50m Grand Prix Leading Rider Circuit Award was announced. Having won the $60,000 Grand Prix of California, the $30,000 Blenheim June 2 Grand Prix and taking second place in the $50,000 Blenheim Spring IV Grand Prix, aboard Neil Jones Equestrian’s Chacco, Carly Anthony could not be beat and took home the award, which included a complimentary one-way domestic equine travel-voucher by sponsor EquiJet.

The rider with the most points in the Antares Sellier 1.25m Jr/AO Jumper Classics was Augusta Iwasaki aboard G & C Close Up, winner of this season’s Circuit Award and the Antares “Spooner” Saddle. The pair won four classics during the summer series of competition at Blenheim EquiSports to gallop away with 60 points and the coveted victory.

The Kastel Denmark 1.20m Amateur Jumper Classic Circuit Award was presented to the highest placing amateur rider, who received a certificate for a Kastel Denmark jacket and shirt. Alexandra Ireland and her mount Eomair garnered a total of 23 points throughout the season to earn the win.

In the Mary’s Tack & Feed 1.20m Jumper Classic Circuit Award, Allison LaJoie topped the field of professional, junior, and amateur competitors. LaJoie rode her own Lintas 3 to the victory, earning a total of 30 points with two wins throughout the season, as well as a $250 Mary’s Tack & Feed Gift Certificate, $250 Ariat Gift Certificate, and an embroidered scrim sheet.

Lots of golden tickets for Emily Esau-Williams! Williams was a co-winner of the Saddle Shoppe 1.10m Jumper Classic Circuit Award after a win on Icon SLF earlier in the season. Other winners include Taylor Cowles, Amelie Bittar, Rachael Johnson and Francisco Vizcaino. Each earned a Saddle Shoppe Gift Certificate. Congratulations to all!

HAIL TO THE HUNTER CHAMPIONS
Melissa Skelnar topped the charts in the Marshall & Sterling Insurance3’6″ Amateur Owner Hunter Classic Circuit Award with her hunter Ka-Ching after earning a total of 35 points in the series. Presenting on behalf of Marshall & Sterling Insurance was Missy Sullivan who awarded Skelnar’s trainer, Michelle Morris, with a beautiful embroidered cooler, backpack and tricolor ribbon.

Christina Smith and her mount Soon To Be were the winners of the Kastel Denmark 3’3″ Amateur Owner Hunter Classic Circuit Award, earning a total of 51 points throughout the show season. Smith was awarded a gift certificate for a Kastel Denmark jacket and shirt.

Horse Hair Analysis sponsored the Adult Hunter Classic Circuit Award, won by Kristyn Hill and her horse Cortez, who earned an impressive total of 57 points throughout the Blenheim EquiSports show season. The pair won three classics and received top placings in others throughout the season to take home the HHA Gift Certificate and prize pack.

In the barnstyle 3’6″ Junior Hunter Classic Circuit Award, taking home top honors after clinching the final classic of the season was Brooke Morin aboard Akinda. The pair won two additional 3’6″ Junior Hunter Classics throughout the year as well to earn a total of 45 points. Morin was awarded with a $500 gift package and a tri-color ribbon for her win.

Callidae sponsored the 3’3″ Junior Hunter Classic Circuit Award, and the winner was Gabrielle Sokolow and her partner Socialite. The pair won two 3’3″ Junior Hunter Classics and received top placings in many others to earn a total of 56 points and the championship honors and a generous Callidae Gift Certificate.

Romfh Equestrian Apparel sponsored the Children’s Hunter Classic Circuit Award, which was given to Abby Parker. Parker rode D’verdi to the win, earning a total of 40 points. The pair received a $250 Romfh Equestrian Apparel Gift Certificate for their efforts.

Grace Miller and Luvin’ It topped the field in The Paisley Magazine Pony Hunter Classics throughout the season at Blenheim EquiSports. The pair won four classics and received top placings in others to earn a total of 72 points! For her efforts, Miller received a $250 The Paisley Magazine Shop Gift Certificate.
